The Pots Method

For hotels, restaurants, clinics & offices in Florida

Make your venue the one customers come back to — the one they photograph, tag and tell their friends about. In under 8 weeks.

Three new places opened on your block last year. Yours is 'fine' — and 'fine' doesn't make customers come back. We design the biophilic install that turns first-time guests into repeat ones, and we tend it every two weeks so it keeps doing that.

  • 78% of guests decide whether to come back based on how a space makes them feel — biophilic interiors flip that signal in your favor (hospitality research)
  • Hotels with strong plant design receive roughly 34% more Instagram mentions than the average property in their segment
  • One restaurant client saw an 18% revenue uplift in the quarter after we installed their moss wall — and the install paid for itself inside three months
  • Your staff works in cleaner air — plants measurably reduce indoor VOCs and stress markers; the kitchen and floor feel it within weeks
  • Our install layers onto your existing renovation — no closing the dining room, no second remodel, no scope creep
  • Bi-weekly maintenance is part of the contract — same-day plant swap, photo-log after every visit, your team never touches a leaf
  • One fixed quote on two boards covers design, install and ongoing care — no in-house gardener payroll, no surprise extras
  • Replacement guaranteed for 90 days, month-to-month afterwards — no long-term lock-in, full handover if you ever switch studios

Why this works

Four truths about your space.

If three of these four match your situation, we're probably the right studio to talk to.

01

The 90-second decision

Customers decide if they're coming back in the first 90 seconds. Before they sit down. Before they open the menu. The decision lives in the doorway — and the doorway is the space, not the food. A white wall doesn't get photographed. A moss wall does.

02

The $80K renovation that nobody notices

You spent $80,000 on the renovation two years ago. Three new places opened on your block since. Yours looks 'fine.' That's the problem — fine doesn't get tagged. Renovation alone stopped differentiating around 2018. The space has to surprise.

03

The empty category in Florida

South Florida is the only major US hospitality market without an incumbent biophilic-design studio. The category is real. The science is forty years old. The demand is growing. There's no one to compete with — yet. Every month you wait, someone else opens that door.

04

The marketing asset that pays for itself

Every hospitality install we ship generates roughly $3,000/month in free social-media content — customer photos, tagged stories, organic discovery. The install pays for itself in year-one content alone. The maintenance pays for itself in year-one repeat visits.

Verticals we serve

From hotels to clinics.

Hospitality

Lobbies, restaurants, spas. We brief your reception team, screen for allergens, and book maintenance windows around your service hours.

Healthcare

Medical-grade plants, allergen screening, air-quality programs. Compliant with ASHRAE 62.1 ventilation guidance.

Workplace

Open-plan offices, co-working, executive suites. Plants chosen by light availability per zone.

Retail

Storefront windows, fitting rooms, flagship interiors. Plants that survive HVAC swings and high foot traffic.

How we work

Four steps, zero surprises.

01

Walkthrough

60-minute site visit. We light-meter every zone, photograph each installation point, and ask the operator three questions: who comes here, when, and what do you wish they noticed.

02

Concept

Two boards. One quote. Maintenance always built in. We won't accept a hospitality install without an attached maintenance contract — and we'll tell you why.

03

Install

Off-hours installation. Your team briefed on day one with a 30-minute walkthrough: what it is, how to talk about it, what NOT to do.

04

Tend

Bi-weekly visits. Same-day replacement if anything dies. Photo-ready every day of the year — because the install only works if it's alive.

Have a property in mind?

Most briefs start with a 20-minute call. We'll know quickly whether we're the right studio for your space.

A small manifesto

You aren't paying for plants.
You're paying for these four things.

  • Customer photos

A space your guests photograph and tag — a marketing asset that runs 24/7 without you paying for it.

  • Repeat visits

A doorway that closes the 'will I come back' decision in the first 90 seconds, before menu, before service.

  • A category nobody else owns

Florida hospitality is the largest US market without a serious biophilic incumbent. Move first.

  • A maintenance contract

We tend what we plant — bi-weekly, photo-ready, replacement guaranteed. We don't accept installs without one.

Common concerns

What usually stops people.

  • "It's going to die in 60 days like the last one."

Every install includes bi-weekly maintenance. Same-day plant replacement. Plants chosen for your specific light envelope, never off a wholesale lot.

  • "I don't have the budget right now."

Install from $3,000. Single-zone restaurants start there. Hotel lobbies start at $8K. You can also phase the install across two months.

  • "My space isn't big enough."

Most of our highest-ROI installs are under 500 sqft — a moss-wall behind the bar, a planted screen between two tables. Not the lobby.

  • "We just renovated."

Exactly the problem. Renovation alone stopped differentiating around 2018. The space has to surprise — that's a different design layer from the architecture.

  • "Plants attract bugs."

We use sealed substrates and quarantined nursery stock. 40+ South Florida venues installed, zero infestation reports.

  • "What about humidity damage to walls or floors?"

Every install includes drip trays and moisture sensors. Twelve years in Florida without a single leak claim.

  • "Will plants survive AC blasting 12 hours a day?"

We choose species by your HVAC profile. Each install is light-metered and airflow-mapped. AC kills cheap plants — not the right ones.

  • "My staff can't water plants — they barely keep up with service."

Your staff doesn't touch them. We come bi-weekly off-hours. The day-one brief is 30 minutes.

  • "We're seasonal. Will the install survive a slow summer?"

Most of our hotels close zones in summer. We adjust visit cadence and brief reduced lighting. Four seasonal closures handled so far.

  • "Can we expand the install later?"

Most clients do. We design every brief as phase one of three. Adding a moss wall or a planted screen at month six is a 2-day install.

  • "Are the plants real or preserved?"

Both, depending on the zone. Living plants in high-traffic / high-light areas; preserved moss in lobbies, restrooms, low-light corners. Each zone gets the right one.

  • "What's your guarantee if a plant dies?"

First 90 days: free replacement, no questions. After: covered by the maintenance contract. Same-day swap for anything in a photo spot.

  • "What if I want to terminate the contract later?"

Month-to-month after the first 90 days. No early-exit fee. We hand over a written care guide for whoever takes over.

FAQ

Common questions

  • How much does a hotel lobby install cost?

Hospitality installs typically range from $5,000 (single-room restaurant accent) to $40,000+ (a full boutique-hotel lobby with a living wall and three custom planters). On top we attach a maintenance contract — $400 to $1,200/month depending on size and visit frequency. We send a fixed quote within five business days of the walkthrough.

  • What's the lead time from signed brief to install day?

Typically 4–8 weeks. Two weeks for plant sourcing (we grow most living specimens at our South Florida nursery), one to two for planter fabrication, and one for the install window itself. Faster if we're working with stock species.

  • Can you work around live operations?

Yes — most hospitality installs happen overnight or during your slowest service window. We brief your front-of-house team before, during and after, and we don't leave a single planter dripping into your service area. Twelve years of Florida installs without a leak claim.

  • What if a plant dies after install?

First 90 days: we replace it free, no questions. After that, the maintenance contract covers replacement. The install only works if it's alive — we never let a dead plant sit in a client space.

  • Do you take installs outside Florida?

One-time installs in the Caribbean and the Southeast US, yes — quoted case-by-case. Ongoing maintenance only in our two service regions: Palm Beach County (primary) and Miami-Dade (secondary).
