Common concerns
What usually stops people.
"Won't it fade like dried flowers?"
Dried flowers fade in 18–24 months. Preserved moss is stabilised in a glycerine bath — colour-fast for a decade in normal interior conditions. We have 2018 pieces still looking new.
"Will it shed?"
No. Stabilised moss is bonded to the substrate, lightly hydrophobic and dust-resistant. Eight years of preserved-moss walls in restaurants, zero shedding complaints.
"Is it sustainable?"
Yes. Our reindeer moss is harvested under Norwegian forestry-authority quotas with documented rotation cycles. Each piece ships with harvest year and region on the certificate.
"Can I get a custom size?"
Yes — the Canopy line is made-to-order, from 1.5m² to 12m². Lead time 4–8 weeks.
"How do I clean it?"
You don't, really. A soft microfiber dust-off once a year. Never water, never spray. Anything more and we send you instructions.
"Will the colour change with humidity?"
No. Preserved moss is stabilised to look identical at 40% or 90% RH. Living-moss installs are different — we tell you which line is which.
"Can I hang it in a bathroom?"
Yes, the preserved-moss pieces. They handle bathroom humidity better than most paper-mounted art. Avoid direct shower spray.
"How is it mounted?"
French cleat for pieces up to 80×60 cm; flush wall-mount for larger. Standard masonry anchors. Two people install a Tideline panel in 20 minutes.
"What's the shipping like?"
Custom-crated. Insured. Continental US 5–10 days, international 2–4 weeks. We coordinate handover with your installer or hang it ourselves for Florida clients.
"Is each piece signed and numbered?"
Yes. Hand-signed by Rodolfo on a brass plate at the lower-right corner. Numbered on the back (1/24, 2/24, etc.).
"Do you offer buyback or trade-in?"
Yes — within 24 months at 50% credit toward a larger piece. Beyond that we connect you with collectors directly.
"How does international shipping work?"
Shipped to 8 countries so far. EU and UK are smooth (we handle customs). Australia takes 5 weeks but works. Africa and South America case-by-case.
"What if I don't love it when it arrives?"
14-day return on stock editions. We arrange pickup. Custom Canopy commissions are non-refundable past the approval-of-boards stage — but every commission goes through two rounds of revisions before fabrication.
